967,415. Stapling machines. OFREX Ltd. Aug. 14, 1963 [Sept. 21, 1962], No. 36021/62. Heading B4C. A stapling machine comprises a magazine 3 pivoted to a cover 4 and adapted to receive and feed staples towards a driving channel 6, the cover having grooves 15, 16 for holding a plate 17 on which is formed a driving plate 18. The plate 17, which is of a resilient material, is formed with a part 21 adapted to press on lugs 23 formed on a base 1 thereby maintaining the magazine in the raised position shown; the driving plate has a slot 19 arranged to coact with a tongue 20 on the magazine to limit the upward movement thereof. The staples are urged forward by a block 7 of resilient plastics material, the block having tail-piece 11 to facilitate the insertion of new staples. The cover 4 may be of a plastics material.
