Abstract

1,230,682. Feeding sheets. BURROUGHS CORP. 17 June, 1969 [27 June, 1968], No. 30533/69. Heading B8R. A record card 22, inserted on edge between guide plates 20, 21 is registered by a front stop 44 and subsequently fed to a punching station by guide members 78, 79 which are movable to displace the card laterally into engagement with feed means 32, Fig. 8. Manual pivoting of shaft 52 displaces a lever 48 to remove stop 44 from the guide path and also moves guide members 78, 79 to bring the registered card into engagement with pin wheel 32 lever 48 is held in the displaced position during a predetermined movement of pin wheel 32 by a latch 90 thus enabling the card to clear the mechanism. A further pin wheel 30 is provided for subsequent feed.
