Abstract

1363104 Feeding sheets INDUSTRIELE ONDERNEMING WAVIN NV 7 Sept 1971 [8 Sept 1970] 41769/71 Heading B8R Registering.-After a sheet 1, Figs. 1 and 2, has been fed to a registering station b, two pairs of pins 2, 3 and 4, 5 carried on pivoted arms 6, 7, 8, 9 are moved downwards in front of and behind the sheet and are then moved towards each other by motors 10, 11 driving ropes or chains 12-17. Each pair of pins is associated with a roller 18 or 20, and when a pin engages the edge of the sheet a switch is actuated to drive the roller so as to move that side of the sheet towards the opposite pin, contact with which stops the roller. The sheet is thus turned from an oblique position 1<SP>1</SP> into a registered position 1<SP>11</SP>. Two further pins 22, 23, which are not vertically movable, are then moved together and similarly control a laterally rotatable roller 28 to register the sheet laterally. The rollers 18, 20, 28 co-operate with pressure rollers 19, 21, 29. The pins 2-5 are then raised and the sheet forwarded by a further conveyer.
