Abstract

The roller conveyor is fitted with a chassis (1) between pairs of rollers (12). This chassis is parallel to the rollers and carries a chain (2), normally below conveyor level. Each end of the chassis has a lever (3), pivoting on the conveyor frame (6); between these is a triangular lever (4) similarly pivoted to chassis and frame. A roller (7) rests on a kidney shaped cam (5) driven through a reduction box (14). As the cam rotates, the chassis is raised, lifting the product off the conveyor, the chain ejecting it on either side, as required. A limit switch (20) stops the cam when the chassis is lowered.
