960,123. Tapping casks. S. G. DEAN. (Standard Products Co. Inc.). June 26, 1961, No. 23093/61. Heading B8T. A tap for a packaged electrolyte contained in a flexible, e.g. plastics bag 38 in a box 34, comprises a tubular member having a flange portion 18 and having apertures 30 communicating with the bore of the tubular member, and thread means, e.g. a pair of blades 22 on the exterior of the tubular member interposed between the flange 18 and the apertures. The tap which has teeth 14 for engagement with a dispensing hose 16 is forced through the wall of the container and screwed into place by means of finger lugs 20.
