Abstract

1,072,817. Tapping casks &c. L. G. LEMOINE. July 28, 1965 [Aug. 31, 1964], No. 32378/65. Heading B8T. A tap for drawing liquid from a flexible container has a perforated head 2 which pierces the container wall 12 forming a neck 13 which coacts with a sleeve 11 on the tap to form a seal and resist withdrawal of the tap. The surface of the sleeve 11 has a high coefficient of friction, being made, e.g. of rubber. A spigot 9 permits attachment of a pipe for withdrawal of liquid through the duct 10.
