Abstract

959,727. Ventilators. LIGHTOLIER Inc. June 12, 1962 [Oct. 3, 1961], No. 22530/62. Headings F4R and F4V. A combined lighting fixture and air conditioner comprises a housing containing two longitudinally extending panels 26, 27 which together with side walls 12, 13 of the housing define elongated passageways and outlets 33, 34 respectively, top wall 14 of the housing has openings 36 aligned with said passageways 33, and a damper controlled duct 22 is in communication with a source of air. As shown, air enters air box 20 via duct 22 controlled by a damper plate 53 which is adjustable through cable 54 and adjustable screw 62. The screw 62 being accessible through one of the outlets 34. The air then passes through openings 36 into passageways 33 where it is guided by deflectors 37 in order to ensure an even distribution of air along the entire length of outlets 34. A diffuser panel 35 for fluorescent tubes 83 is mounted on panels 26, 27.
