Abstract

958,250. Percussive drills. ATLAS COPCO A.B. April 22, 1963 [May 1, 1962], No. 15809/63. Heading B4C. A rock drilling device comprises a feed bar 20 having a pair of removably mounted elements 25 which form inner guiding means 27 for a rock drill 30, movable by means such as a screw 32, and also outer guiding means 28 for the feed bar on a drill rig member 10, the feed bar being moved by means such as a ram 17. The guide elements 25 are in the form of rolled steel plates, a pair being separated by a spacer bar 26 and screwed to each side of the feed bar 20. The rock drill is mounted on a slide 29 which is provided with flanges 40 for sliding movement between the inner guideways 27, Fig. 4. The outer guideways 28 slide on brackets 14 bolted to the member 10.
