Abstract

956,032. Wrappers. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Feb. 23, 1961 [Feb. 26, 1960], No. 6667/61. Heading B8C. A wrapper for gramophone records comprises a blank constituted by a rectangular central portion and four closure flaps cut from a corrugated cardboard sheet so that the edges of the rectangle are at between 30 and 60 degrees to the lines of corrugation, and is characterized in that the flaps overlap. In one embodiment (Fig. 1) the blank is folded along lines 4, 5 and 8, 9 so that flaps 11, 13 just touch one another. Flaps 10, 12 are then folded in about lines 2, 3, 6, 7 so that they overlap and the package is then sealed by an adhesive strip. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 3, the flaps 36-39 are folded in simultaneously, portions 42-45 underlying the adjacent flaps. A tab 51 is provided to facilitate opening.
