955,367. Electric timepieces. KABUSHIKI KAISHA SUWA SEIKOSHA. March 6, 1962 [March 6, 1961], No. 8663/62. Heading G3T. A timepiece comprises an electrically maintained oscillator e.g. a tuning fork 21, which carries a pawl 17a, 17b to drive the index ratchet wheel 15 the pinion 16 of which drives the going train 13, 14, 11, 12, 9, 10, 7, 8 to the seconds, minutes and hour hands S, M and T respectively. A click 18a, 18b prevents reverse rotation of the ratchet 15. When the hand-setting stem 2 is moved to the hand-setting position the wheel 5 is moved through the members 3, 4 into engagement with the minute wheel 6 and a pivoted lever 19 is rocked clockwise so that pins 19a, 19b carried thereby move the pawl 17a, 17b and the click 18a, 18b away from the ratchet 15 and a detent 20, 20a also carried the lever 19 is moved into arresting engagement with the gear 11.
