Abstract
952,965. Tubular heat-exchangers; surface condensers. PRVNI BRNENSKA STROJIRNA, ZAVODY KLEMENTA GOTTWALDA, NARODNI PODNIK. Aug. 10, 1962, No. 30836/62. Heading F4S. In a tubular heat-exchanger, e.g. a water heater for a central station heat-exchange plant, a header 1, having connections 2 for the inlet and outlet of water to be heated, is located between a pair of tube systems which it carries, each tube system being located within a shell 3 having a connection 6 to a steam supply and a condensate outlet 7, the steam being condensed in the heatexchanger. The header 1 is partitioned so that the water being heated follows the path indicated by arrows 8, 9, 10. The tube assemblies may be of straight tubes 4, or U-tubes 5. The shells 3 are mounted on sliding supports 12 enabling the shells to be withdrawn when the tubes are to be cleaned.
