Abstract

951,644. Photographic processes. W. ZINDLER, [trading as LUMOPRINT ZINDLER KOMMGES.] June 17,1960, No. 21337/60.Heading G2C. An exposed photographic silver halide emulsion layer is simultaneously developed and fixed by contacting it with a developing sheet comprising a foil-type, heat-resistant and water-repellent base carrying a layer containing a developing agent, alkali, a fixing agent and a substance which contains water of crystallization which it releases on heating, and heating. The developing sheet may comprise a binder of polyvinyl alcohol, and may contain di- or trihydric alcohols such as glycerine. The substance containing water of crystallization may be sodium acetate or sodium sulphate. The developing agents may be hydroquinone and 1- phenyl-3-pyrazolidone and the fixer may be sodium thiosulphate. The developing sheet also may contain potassium metabisulphite, boric acid, hydroxylamine and 1, 2, 3-benztriazole.
