Abstract

950,688. Window regulators. WILMOT-BREEDEN Ltd. Dec. 3, 1962 [Dec. 7, 1961], No. 43791/61. Heading E2M. A window regulator, particularly for the sliding window 1 of a vehicle, comprises a screw and nut actuating assembly 2, 3 and two pivoted operating levers 10, 12 adapted for connection at one end to the window and interconnected by a cross-link 16 to form a parallelogram linkage, the lever 10 being engaged by the nut 3 or a projection 18 therefrom. The levers are pivoted at 13, 14 to a bracket 9. The screw is normally driven by an electric motor 4, but it has a slot 8 adapted to be engaged by a screwdriver inserted through a tube 7 in the event of power failure or jamming.
