Abstract

944,860. Window regulators. WILMOTBREEDEN Ltd. Sept. 17,1962 [Sept. 19,1961], No. 33451/61. Heading E2M. A window regulator, particularly for motor vehicles, comprises a screw and nut assembly 11, an arm 16 pivotally attached at one end to the nut and formed at the other end for connection to a window, and a link 20a mounted at one end on a fixed pivot 22a and pivotally attached at the other end to the arm at an intermediate position on the latter. The screw is preferably driven by an electric motor 12. The axis of the pivot 22a may be arranged to pass through the longitudinal axis of the screw. In an alternative embodiment the link 20a is part of a second arm similar to the arm 16 and forming therewith a crossed scissor-like linkage.
