[Also in Group XXXII] Toothed gearing for sliding a roof panel 3 in a vehicle roof (see also Group XXXII), comprises a rack 9, Figs. 1 and 2, or a rack 28, Fig. 5, formed by a screw-threaded cable guided in a tube 8 or 29 telescopically mounted within a tube 11 or 23, which outer tube is connected to the sliding panel by a pin-and-slot connection 19, 20. The rack is firmly connected at 10 or 31 to the outer tube and is moved either manually by a handle 7 or by an electric motor.
