A Bowden cable sheet metal brake lever pivoted at 5 supports the tail of a leaf spring 13 provided with a stop 12 and a pin 14. In normal operation, as shown, the stop 12 in the limiting position abuts a portion 11 of the lever support 2, but when it is necessary to remove the cable, the pin 14 is pushed in to move the spring and stop inwardly and permit the lever itself to pivot and abut the portion 11 and thus further slacken the cable.
