A contact-carrying bimetal strip 20 co-operates with a fixed contact 19 in the form of a screw or pin which is inserted in any selected one of a plurality of apertures 17 in a metal plate to set the operating temperature, and an adjusting screw 23 engages the strip 20 to provide further adjustment of the operating temperature.
