A door lock comprises a lock casing adapted to be positioned in a cylindrical aperture in a door and forming a bearing for a transversely extending handle spindle 36, Figs. 1 and 2 for actuation of the bolt 10 of the lock, the casing consisting of two components 12, 14 which can be clamped together and which have flanges to bear against lateral faces of the door, one of the components having an inwardly protruding tubular hub 18 which serves as a clamping member between the two components and as a bearing for the spindle and a pin 40 carried by the spindle and passing through a slot 42, in the hub, the pin constituting a coupling member between the handle spindle and the lock bolt 10. In the arrangement shown, components 12, 14 are clamped together at opposite sides of a door by the tubular hub 18 extending through both components and secured by a nut 20, the hub providing a bearing for the handle spindle 36. Bolt 10 which is spring loaded, is located in a tube 22 and is retractable by the pin 40 through the slot 42 in the hub 18 and also through a sleeve 44 on the hub, the sleeve 44 carrying a bifurcated arm 46 which embraces the bolt tube 22 in front of a pin 32 fixed to the bolt and movable therewith in slots 34 in the tube 22. In the arrangement according to Figs. 4 and 7 the wall of the component 12 and the hub are disposed eccentrically with reference to the components 12 and 14, and a key-operated lock 52 is provided with a pin 58 which co-operates with one arm of a pawl 62 pivotally mounted on the hub 18. The pawl 62 is formed by a U-shaped plate, arms 62b of which embrace the hub and the central portion 62c of which co-operates through a recess 66 in the tube 22 with a notch 64 on the bolt 10. The bolt 10 may also be locked by a manually operable swingable arm 68 on the component 14, the arm 68 having a pin 74 which engages a hole 76 in the arm 62a of the pawls. The sleeve 44 and arm 46 are constituted by a U-shaped part 82, arms 82a of which are journalled on the hub 18 and which co-operate with the pin 32. The central part 82b of the part 82 is slotted for the pin 40 which is biased by a spring 86. The component 12 is closed by a plate 88.
