947,523. Elevated railway switch panels. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG A.G. Dec. 8, 1960 [March 29, 1960], No. 42250/60. Heading B7L. In a suspended railway switch comprising a straight and at least one curved switch rail section 5, 7, in which both switch rail sections 5, 7 are articulatedly attached for deflection to the diverging stock rail sections 1, 2 in such a manner that the deflectable ends can alternately be swung into alignment with the adjoining stock rail, section 3 each switch rail section 5, 7 is suspended by a link 8, 9 from a trolley 10, 11 traversible cross-wise of the rail track. The trolleys 10, 11 are moved by bars 14, 15 connected one above the other to a common lever 16 mounted on a rotatable shaft 17. The deflectable end of the curved rail switch section 7 is movable over a distance 18 which is twice the distance 19 over which the deflectable end of the straight rail switch section 5 is movable. The switch can also be used for twin track systems, Fig. 4 (not shown).
