822,965. Railway track crossings. GRAND, F. L. E. March 11, 1957 [March 24, 1956], No. 7936/57. Class 104 (1). A railway track frog comprises a frog-point 1 of hard steel (e.g. manganese steel) located between four rails 2, 2a, 3, 3a on each side of its longitudinal axes and each retaining part of its web and flange over its entire length, namely two stock rails 2, 2a embracing the frog 1 and two wing rails 3, 3a embracing parts of the stock rails 2, 2a and reinforcing members 4, 4a of hard steel (e.g. manganese steel) at the inner sides and towards one end thereof. The wing rails 3, 3a are supported through their entire length by filler-blocks.
