946,117. Foldable carton blanks. AHLEN & AKERLUND FORPACKNING A.B. Oct. 5, 1960 [Oct. 9, 1959; Feb. 3, 1960], No. 34116/60. Heading B8P. A carbon blank comprises wall forming panels 7, 9, having pairs of extending flaps 10, 12, one flap 10 having an insertion slot 20 into which a tab 13 on the flap 12 is inserted and locked; the insertion flap 12 is also provided with a locking slot 22 which, when the tab 13 has been inserted into the insertion slot 20, lies along said insertion slot with the latter provided with a tongue-like projection 21 for engaging within the locking slot 22 in order to lock the insertion tab in its inserted position. The slots are provided with slits 23, 24 to form two easily bendable lugs to facilitate locking. In two other embodiments (not shown) the flaps 12 of the wall 7 are transferred to wall 8 i.e. replacing flaps 14 and the tabbed flaps 12 are duplicated on flap 17 in lieu of comer flaps 18. In addition, in one of the embodiments the locking slots 22 are provided with tongue-like projections 21 and the insertion slots replaced by plain slots, whereby the pair of slots are at right angles to one another and equiangularly disposed in relation to score lines 5 and 6.
