Abstract
Aluminium foil for use in electrolytic condensers comprises at least 99.97% Al, incidental impurities (Fe, Si, Cu) not more than 0.03% and 0.003-0.05% beryllium measured on the aluminium and impurities. Boron may also be added in an amount 0.005-0.05%, preferably 0.05-0.015% (measured on the aluminium and impurities). Magnesium and zinc may also be present as impurities, e.g. 0.001-0.005% Zn and 0.0003-0.002% Mg. The final annealing, in air protective atmosphere or vacuum, may be carried out at 900 DEG C. to just below the melting point of aluminium. The foil may also be used for lithoprinting foils which must be roughened to become sufficiently absorbent. Specification 791,380 is referred to.
