Abstract
943,036. Axle bearing guiding arrangements. BETEILIGUNGS-UND PATENTVERWALTUNGSGESELLSCHAFT m.b.H., and HENSCHEL-WERKE A.G. Dec. 23, 1960 [Dec. 28, 1959], No. 44212/60. Heading B7L. The axle set (not shown) of a railway vehicle or bogie is accurately positioned centrally of the vehicle or bogie frame 2, Figs. 1 and 2, by wedges 7 engaging between the cheeks 6 of each axle bearing box 5 and surfaces at each side of an axle arm 1 pivoted on the frame 2 and supported laterally by springs 3. The axle bearing box 5 is received in a recess in the arm 1 which recess is bridged by a web 4. The inclined surfaces of the wedges engage inclined surfaces of the cheeks 6, but in a modification wedges are bolted to the cheeks to engage the wedges 7.
