Abstract
940,332. Two part couplings. BELLING & LEE Ltd. June 15, 1962, No. 23051/62. Heading H2E. In a two part electrical connector as described in Specification 920,572 means are provided for displacing a clamping member 28 with keyhole apertures 27 therein, relative to the connector parts so as to wedge a resilient contact sleeve 17 carried by one connector part 14 from the wide to the narrow end of the aperture 27 to constrict the sleeve to cause it to grip a corresponding contact pin 8 carried by the other connector part when the connector is engaged. Axial displacement of the clamping member relative to the connector parts is achieved by sliding of a member 21 in a slot 18 in one connector part so that a spigot 22 on the member 21 engages an angularly displaced recess 29 in the clamping member.
