939,208. Identification coverings. SIEMENSSCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. July 27, 1962 [July 29, 1961], No. 29006/62. Class 36. A sheath, containing no colouring additives, of foamed insulating material around a cable conductor is surrounded by a further thin-walled solid insulating sheath with added colouring material. A method of manufacturing a telephone or high-frequency line is described in which several extrusion presses each containing a different coloured material are arranged so that any one can be operated in tandem with a single extrusion press which applies the foamed insulating material which may be polyethylene. The outer sheath which may also be polyethylene may be coloured throughout by inclusion of a pigment in the material or coloured only on the surface by longitudinally or helically extending colouring strip of a suitable dyestuff.
