923,906. Conductors. PIRELLI GENERAL CABLE WORKS Ltd. Feb. 22, 1961 [March 4, 1960], No. 7724/60. Class 36. The extruded plastics insulation 6 of a conductor 1 has incorporated in it during extrusion reinforcing threads 6 of higher tensile strength. The threads 6 e.g. of rayon, nylon or metal are fed through apertures 5 in a die and together with the conductor 1 pass through a further die 3, the plastics insulating composition 4 e.g. P.V.C. being injected in a conventional manner. The threads may be completely embedded or may be partially embedded in the inner or outer surface of the insulant.
