938,296. Two-part couplings. NUCLEAR POWER PLANT CO. Ltd., and A.E.I.-JOHN THOMPSON NUCLEAR ENERGY CO. Ltd., [trading as NUCLEAR POWER GROUP]. Feb. 28, 1962 [March 27, 1961], No. 11121/61. Class 38 (1). A contact box for making connection to thermocouple elements in a nuclear reactor has a fixed part 1a attached to a reactor fuel channel and housing contacts connected to thermocouples in the reactor. The removable part 1b consists of contacts A<SP>1</SP>, B<SP>1</SP> C which have flat faces and bear against corresponding faces of the contact in the fixed part. The fixed part is provided with a key 3 and the removable part with sloping edge 2b which guides key 3 into keyway 4 so as to ensure correct relative alignment of the two parts.
