935,840. Ladle stoppers. THOMAS MARSHALL & CO (LOXLEY) Ltd. May 1, 1961 [May 3, 1960], No. 15578/60. Class 82. The upper part of a stopper end 10 for a bottom pouring ladle is reinforced by a metal or like ring 13 having a diameter less than the maximum diameter of the stopper end and cemented to the latter at its inner face only. The ring may be continuous or gapped and may surround the spigot 11 or be recessed in a groove 14, Fig. 2. Alternatively, the ring may be recessed within a socket 16 in the stopper end, Fig. 6. In both forms, the ring may be in the form of a washer. Compressible material may also be provided in the groove 14.
