885,988. Container closures. LESLIESMITH, L. Jan. 6, 1958 [Jan. 8, 1957 ; March 7, 1957 ; May 7, 1957; July 8, 1957], Nos. 32319/61, 32320/61, 32321/61 and 32322/61. Divided out of 885,987. Class 125(3). Relates to the stoppers, described in the original Specification and a further Divisional Specification 885,990 therefrom in combination with pouring lips with which they form closures for vacuum flasks The main claim features the extension of the bung portion beyond the screw threading or the equivalent and its inability to pivot, with respect to the remainder of the stopper, about an axis at right angles to the axis of symmetry of the stopper. In Fig. 1 a rigid disc 17 with a depending skirt reinforces a hollow moulding 16 of resilient material, such as polyethylenes which may have a groove 19 for receiving a ridge 18 on the disc when the disc is push-fitted in position. In Fig. 3 there is no reinforcing skirt for the stopper screw thread. The present and the original Provisional Specifications are the same. Specification 818,541 also is referred to.
