Abstract

933,110. Spinning processes. BRACKER A.G. Feb. 13, 1961 [Feb. 13, 1960], No. 5214/61. Class 120 (3). In a manually operated device for separating stacked travellers S and slipping them on to traveller rings, as at R, of spinning machines and wherein each traveller is clipped, by means of a double-arm lever 21, over the ring accommodated in a mouth 29, the lever is actuated from a handle and guided between side plates 8 and 9 and has a hook-shaped portion 21a and a free front end provided with a pressure nose 30. In operation, the individual travellers T are successively supplied to a gap 13 by a feed arm 28 of a spring-loaded slide 23. Mouth 29 is applied to the ring R, Fig. 4, and a trigger 19 is actuated against a return spring, Fig. 3 (not shown) so that portion 21a is lowered and causes a single traveller to be separated by means of its holding recess 31. A wall portion 33 engages leg 1 of traveller T and slides it in the direction of the arrow 37. During subsequent arcuate movement of portion 21a, wall portion 32 and nose 30 come to rest against portion 2 of traveller T, Fig. 5. The device is then swung in the direction of arrow 38 so that a flexed portion 4 of traveller T is clipped about a shank portion of ring R, Fig. 6 (not shown).
