932,790. Clamps for lifting sheets. LIFTING GEAR PRODUCTS (ENGINEERING) Ltd. Nov. 25, 1959 [Dec. 1, 1958], No. 38741/58. Class 78 (4). In a clamp for lifting sheets, of the type in which a cam 17 is turned about its pivot 19 to grip the sheets 27 by a connection 21 to a shackle pin 13 from which the clamp is suspended, the shackle pin 13 is guided by an arcuate slot 14 so arranged that an effective grip is maintained when lifting a sheet from the horizontal to the vertical position or vice versa. The body of the clamp illustrated is formed by a plate 10 on either side of which are carried the cams 16 and the links 21. The body may, however, be formed of two plates with the cams 16 mounted between them.
