876,429. Billet handling devices. ROSS & PARTNERS Ltd., DONALD. Nov. 11, 1959 [Oct. 29, 1958], No. 34705/58. Class 83 (4). A device for turning over heavy plates and the like consists of two normally horizontal frames 1, 1<SP>1</SP> pivotally mounted so as to be swingable into closely adjacent vertical positions, so that a plate 2 or the like placed on one frame 1 may be transferred to the other frame 1<SP>1</SP> and turned over by the interacting swinging movements of the frames 1, 1<SP>1</SP>. The frames 1, 1<SP>1</SP> are moved about their pivots 3, 31 by hydraulic rams 8, 8<SP>1</SP> which may be manually or automatically controlled.
