Abstract

932,232. Windscreen wipers. TRICOFOLBERTH Ltd. April 27, 1959 [April 29, 1958], No. 13592/58. Class 138 (1). A windscreen wiper harness for use with curved screens consists of a single yoke 10 pivotally connected to the ends of a backing strip 16 mounting a rubber blade 8 so as to permit bowing of the backing strip 16 towards and away from the yoke 10, at least one connection being arranged to permit relative longitudinal sliding between the yoke 10 and the backing strip 16 with sliding of the end of the backing strip 16 towards the centre of the yoke 10 being resisted by a spring 24. The ends of the yoke 10 are pivoted to saddles 14 which embrace the edges of the backing strip 16 and are of sufficient longitudinal extent to prevent pivoting of the backing strip 16 about an axis at right angles to the surface of the screen. At least one of the saddles 14 is slidable along the backing strip 16. Specification 932,233 is referred to.
