931,349. Parametric amplifiers. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. Oct. 20, 1961 [Oct. 22, 1960], No. 37751/61. Class 40 (9). In a parametric amplifier, the pumping frequency P is constant and the signal frequency S is variable. The signal and idler circuits include inductors L s , L H and condensers C s , C H which are ganged so that the sum of the signal and idling frequencies is constant (i.e. S + I = P). The input signal source G s and the output load G A are inductively coupled to inductor L s . A reactance diode D is excited at the pumping frequency P by an oscillator R 0 to which circuit K is tuned. The oscillator operates at the frequency to which the #-network C p1 , C p2 , L p is tuned.
