928,862. Piston-rings. BRITISH PISTON RING CO. Ltd. Feb. 22, 1962 [March 23, 1961], No. 10615/61. Class 122 (1). A T-section piston-ring, particularly a scraper ring, having the stem of the T extending radially outwards to form a narrow land 11 is provided with an inherent tendency to twist in its groove by forming the part 10 of the ring on the side of the land which, in use, is adjacent the piston crown with a smaller axial length and/or a smaller external diameter than the part 12 of the ring on the other side of the land. The land may be eccentric with respect to the axis of the ring.
