Abstract

Dialkyl isocyanurates of formula:- <FORM:0928637/IV(a)/1> where R is an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms are produced by mixing at least one mole of a monoalkyl urea, or mixture of monoalkyl ureas, with one mole of a methylcyclohexanol, tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol, or a mixture thereof at 150 DEG -250 DEG C., and the product is recovered, e.g. by filtration.
