Abstract

927,050. Fuel injection nozzles. C.A.V. Ltd. Sept. 28, 1961 [Aug. 15, 1960], No. 28125/60. Class 7(3). In a fuel injection nozzle the valve head includes an annular port spherical shoulder 26 adapted to close against a seating in a bore in the body member and a truncated conical portion 28 joining the shoulder portion to a short cylindrical portion 27 the diameter and length of the short cylindrical portion 27 being such in relation to the diameter of the outer end portion of the bore that very small angular movements of the axis of the valve member are permitted and the centre of curvature of the spherical shoulder being situated at the middle of the cylindrical portion. If desired the groove 15 and possibly also the passage 16 may be omitted.
