Abstract

926,150. Overhead travelling cranes. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG A.G. Oct. 31, 1960, No. 37341/60. Class 78 (4). The crab of an overhead travelling crane comprises three units 1, 2, Fig. 1, which run on more than two rails. As described, the units 2 are supported on two pairs of rails 10 mounted on bogies 4. The unit 1 carries winding drums and motors 12, 13. A further bogey 8 supports an auxiliary crab 6 on rails 11. In a second embodiment the crab 8 is omitted and the rails 11 are mounted on bogies similar to bogies 7 which are articulated together. In a further embodiment, the crab comprises three units 19, 20, Fig. 3, mounted on two pairs of rails 23 on articulated bogies 21, 22. Two cable drums 26 operating a single hook 27 are mounted on the unit 19.
