[Also in Group XIII] To control the speed of squirrel-cage induction motors 11 driving refrigerating pumps, fans or the like 10 in cold-storage rooms 7, 8, 9, they may be connected by selector switches 12 to any one of A.C. supplies 2, 5, 6 which are at different frequencies. One supply 2 may be 50 c.p.s. mains while the others may at 33 and 25 c.p.s. respectively, derive from generators 3, 4, driven by a motor 1.
