Abstract
922,494. Centrifugal separators. FARBEN<SP>-</SP> FABRIKEN BAYER A.G. May 13, 1960 [May 14, 1959; Nov. 7, 1959], No. 16985/60. Class 23. In a cyclone the inlet 1 is mounted on the upper end plate 5 and enters the separating chamber at a position spaced from the wall 6 of the chamber and the gas outlet 7. The inlet shown in Figs. 1 and 2 has a sloping top but in a modification, in which the inlet is annular, the top of the inlet is flat. In the construction shown in Fig. 5 additional gas is fed into the inlet 16 through a member 14.
