Abstract

908,043. Centrifugal separators. MICZEK, G. Jan. 20, 1961 [Jan. 30, 1960], No. 2385/61. Addition to 856,244. Class 23. [Also in Group XII] Apparatus for separating dust particles &c. from gas comprises a feed chamber, including a Venturi tube and leading downwardly to a multicell cyclone in which each cell comprises a tube 1 and whirl means 2, water being injected into the Venturi throat 6 from a tube 7. The cells are housed in a common casing 3 having a discharge opening 4 for the separated dust and water and an outlet 5 for the clean gas. The tube 7 branches off into smaller tubes 8 which may be protected by members 9 against abrasion by dust particles.
