Class 23 The cells d of a multi-cell dust separator are cleaned by passing gas carrying coarse dust particles through the cells from their dust outlets f to their clean air outlets h. The cleaning gas entrains the coarse particles during passage through the dust collection chamber g of the separator. The cleaning gas may be the gas normally cleaned by the separator supplied by a branch l on the separator inlet b, or it may be air drawn through an inlet n by suction applied to the separator gas outlet i, or it may be hot air supplied by a fan o and a pipe q.
