851,498. Centrifugal separators. TERMOKIMIK CORPORATION S.p.A. IMPIANTI E PROCEDIMENTI INDUSTRIALI. Dec. 6. 1957 [Dec. 6, 1956], No. 38082/57. Class 23 A cell for a multi-cell cyclone separator has an axial inlet 11, a fluid outlet 25, and whirl producing vanes 16 arranged about a frusto-conical portion 15 of the outlet. The upper cross-section of the inlet is polygonal, an arrangement which permits the inlets of adjacent cells to abut and form the partition between the inlet chamber 23 and the particle collection chamber 24. The cells are arranged about an axial inlet of the chamber 23, and the cell outlets 25 pass through the chamber 23 to a fluid outlet chamber 26. Specification 742,210 is referred to.
