A wheel hub comprises a barrel 1 with spoke flanges 2, 3 secured thereto, at least one of said flanges 3 having a frustoconically apertured inner peripheral sleeve 3<SP>1</SP> to mate with a corresponding axially outwardly 8 tapering, frusto-conical portion 1<SP>1</SP> of the barrel, the axially outer end 1<SP>11</SP> of the portion 1<SP>1</SP> being flared outwardly against a correspondingly funnelled part of the sleeve aperture to wedge the flange more tightly on to the tapered portion 1<SP>1</SP>.
