Abstract
921,416. Display cartons. E. S. & A. ROBINSON Ltd. July 31, 1959 [Aug. 1, 1958], No. 24912/58. Class 18. [Also in Group XVIII]. A display pack e.g. for elongated cartons 32 containing tooth brushes or tooth paste, comprises two compartments each having a back wall 4 and a front wall 2 and completely open at the side opposite the side wall 30, the compartments being hinged together and relatively movable from a closed position for transport, Fig. 2, wherein the back walls are in alignment, to an open position, Fig. 1, in which they are stood up in angular relationship for display purposes. A show card 39 to hold the compartments in the display position is torn along weakened lines from the top of the pack where it normally fills the space between the panels 2, 6, Fig. 2. A separate inserted liner for spacing the cartons 32 is formed from a piece of cardboard with bent-up shelves 36, 38. The Provisional Specification describes packs having three compartments hinged together, opened up in various ways for display and held in the display position by slotted or bent-up show cards.
