Abstract

920,093. Discharge tubes. TELEFUNKEN G.m.b.H. May 21, 1959 [May 22, 1958], No. 17301/59. Class 39 (1). A frame grid comprises grid wire 3 wound round bars 1, 2 which are spaced apart at one end by strap 5 which permits cathode 6 to extend beyond this end, and at the other end by member 10 which does not project beyond the grid wire in a direction transverse to the axis of the grid, so that electrode 7 may be slid thereover in close proximity to grid wire 3. A further electrode 7 surrounds grid 3 and is supported by insulating plate 12 which is apertured to accommodate member 10, while the lower ends of grid bars 1, 2 and cathode 6 are supported in plate 11. As shown, a further insulating plate 14, formed in two halves, supports the upper end of cathode 6, and bars 1, 2, 8, 9. Electrode 7 may be similar to grid 3 if it is to be closely surrounded by a further grid.
