Abstract

920,045. Clothes lines. G. T. METHLEY. Dec. 27, 1961 [July 6, 1961], No. 24483/61. Class 52 (5). A hoist for a clothes line has a member 1 secured to a wall or post and having a bracket 2 formed thereon to which a lever arm 3 is pivoted by a rod 4, a second bracket part 5 carrying a pulley 6 and the clothes line is tied to an eye 10 on part 5, passes over a pulley 7 mounted on arm 3 and over pulley 6, the line being raised by swinging lever 3 downwards to engage a hook 9. In a modification, Fig. 3, lever arm 3 has spaced holes 12 and the end of the clothes line is secured to a split ring 13 which may engage in a hole.
