Abstract

919,496. Manifolding stationery. MOORE BUSINESS FORMS Inc. April 28, 1959 [June 30, 1958], No. 14552/59. Class 16. In a manifolding form assembly comprising a plurality of superposed record and transfer sheets, each transfer sheet is secured to the record sheet next above it by a line of adhesive 40 and to the record sheet next below it by a line of adhesive 41, whereby the lines of adhesive 40, 41 are spaced different distances from a margin of the assembly. The positions of the lines of adhesive may be reversed, so that the line of adhesive 40 is closer to the margin than the line of adhesive 41. A longitudinally extending series of diagonally disposed slits 45 are provided, passing through the record and transfer sheets, or the transfer sheets alone, and positioned between the lines of adhesive 40, 41 to permit greater flexibility of the assembly. In another embodiment the slits are chevron shape, alternate ones facing in opposite directions, Fig. 8 (not shown). In a further embodiment the slits are replaced by a longitudinal series of circular or the like apertures. The assembly may have feed apertures 30 at one or both sides and is folded in a zig-zag fashion. The transfer sheets, as shown, stop short of the margin of the assembly, though they may be conterminous therewith, and have an uncoated margin 35. Specification 919,497 is referred to.
