Abstract

962,052. Manifolding stationery. ALACRA Ltd. June 14, 1963 [March 16, 1962], No. 10234/62. Heading B6A. Continuous-form stationery comprises a number of superimposed second webs and interposed carbon webs, or record webs only having carbon material at the back, provided with marginal feed holes 5 aland marginal longitudinal perforations 11, each set of forms being secured together at edge portions 8 by adhesive or by crimping, and having spaced cuts or incisions 10 arranged between the secured portions 8 and the perforations 5. The portions 8 can readily be removed as tabs to free the forms for separation, and the incisions 10 provide sufficient flexibility for the forms to pass over bends in a machine. As shown, the webs are zig-zag folded and perforated at the folds 7, and carbon webs 3 are interposed. One side edge of each carbon web is secured to the record web on which it is superposed along a line between the extreme edge of the record web and the perforations 11, and the carbon webs may be narrower than the record webs. The adhesive at 8 may be of the latex or thermosetting type and applied during the manufacture of the record webs.
