Abstract

943,345. Manifolding stationery. INNISFAIL LAUNDRY Ltd. July 18, 1961 [Aug. 9, 1960], No. 27538/60. Heading B6A. Continuous manifolding stationery comprises a web 1 folded about a longitudinal centre line 2 to form two superimposed sheets 3, 4, each sheet having one face printed to provide columns and/or spaces for the entry of data and and the reverse face coated in one or more selected areas with carbon or like transfer material, the sheets having a series of spaced coincident transverse fold lines whereby the web 1 is folded in zigzag fashion for assembly in a loose-leaf binder and the sheet 4 having an additional longitudinal line of weakness 16 spaced from the line 2 and transverse lines of perforations 17 extending between the lines 2, 16 to define receipts 12. The reverse face of sheet 3 is provided with spaced carbon areas 13, 14 and the reverse face of sheet 4 is provided with a single carbon area 15 coinciding with the uncoated portion of the sheet 3. The sheets 3, 4 are provided with aligned apertures 22 in both longitudinal edges. A strip of adhesive 18 is provided on the reverse face of sheet 4, so that a detached receipt may be stuck on a record card. In use, data is printed on the top sheet 3 and a copy formed on the lower sheet 4. Then the web is folded in the reverse sense about the line 2, so that the sheet 4 lies on top of the sheet 3. Hence entries made on the receipts 12 are reproduced in column 7 of the lower sheet 3 by the carbon area 15.
